Visit to the Kitchen Garden
A showcase of our home-grown produce
Situated amidst Sant Benet’s natural surroundings, on the banks of the Llobregat, the Kitchen Garden occupies a space where, once upon a time, the monks from the monastery had their vegetable gardens. Today, the Kitchen garden is a showcase of our home-grown produce which allows visitors to discover the many varieties of fruit and vegetables still grown now as it was in our grandparents’ day. This ecological fruit and vegetable garden — including the Pomàrium, an orchard with dozens of varieties of apple and pear trees — provides visitors with firsthand knowledge of all our different crops which are grown on both dry and irrigated land. Take a journey to the origins of our cuisine.
Duration of the visit: 1 hour.
