Alícia is a unique scientific and gastronomic venture, directed by Ferran Adrià. Why not pay a visit to this research facility and test your perceptions in the "The meaning of the senses" workshop. How do our senses function when we eat? Do they help or deceive us? Why do we eat some things but not others, even though they are perfectly edible? This workshop offers us the chance to become more aware of our own tastes, and of the importance of cooking as a differentiating human feature

Accessible tour for people with reduced mobility. There are two wheel chairs at the disposal of visitors.

Alícia is a research centre dedicated to technological innovation in cooking, using traditional local produce, as well as encouraging healthy eating for all. The foundation was created by the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Caixa Manresa, and is directed by the chef, Ferran Adrià, with the advice of the cardiologist, Valentí Fuster.
