The second edition of Món Sant Benet’s Live Nativity Scene has exceeded expectations with an increase in visitor numbers to close to 4,000. This year, 4 daily sessions were held for five days, thus offering more opportunities to be visited, along with the incorporation of new scenes and characters.

Món Sant Benet’s Live Nativity Scene is committed to an ambitious and atypical nativity scene proposal that combines the representation of classic scenes by one hundred actors with the application of state-of-the-art effects such as video projections. In this year's edition, for example, one of the star scenes was a mapping on the church façade.

As well as recreating the traditional scenes of any nativity scene (the birth, the announcement, the adoration, ...), Món Sant Benet’s proposal incorporates a wide range of scenes from the Middle Ages ranging from the monastery life within the walls of the monastery through to the recreation, this year, of other characters who were not part of religious life, such as witches and vagabonds.

The proposal came about last year, seeking to move away from a traditional live nativity scene, and, this year, has fulfilled its objective by reinterpreting scenes and incorporating new elements that make the experience even more experiential and unforgettable. Large-format projections, smells, historical setting, interaction with the actors, an incomparable setting and the special features of a live nativity scene set in the monastic era have given the proposal a special uniqueness.
